I used to watch my dad make prints at home in a makeshift darkroom, and I remember how fascinating and magical it was to see the images come to life. This is probably what sparked my interest to always look for light, whether it is sunlight, candlelight, market lights, or flashlights. Almost any version of light can be used to take wonderful pictures that will highlight mood, scenery, emotions, and celebrations. When I moved to the US (with only $25 and a suitcase may I add) I got married and started working as an international model with Elite NY.
During this time, I lived in many different cities including NYC, Miami, and Orlando. I worked on location in at least 35 states and around the world in France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and countless tropical islands. I traveled constantly, working with the world’s most amazing photographers and models. This exciting chapter of my life was closed when my husband and I started our little family. My two beautiful daughters are my heart and soul and every minute that I can spend with them is a blessing. As they were getting close to leaving the nest, I contemplated becoming a real-estate agent (but that was just too much paperwork and I craved an artistic outlet). I took time to reflect on what truly inspires me as an individual and what type of work could bring me joy while also allowing me to share happiness with others.
Deep down, my first love has always revolved around beauty, art, and imagery. So, without hesitation I threw myself into the vast world of photography. I took classes, took notes, joined up with other photographers, watched educational videos, asked a lot of questions, made mistakes, made progress, earned certifications, took risks and took LOTS of pictures. To this day I am proud of my little business and my accomplishments and cannot wait to see what the future holds.
